The RD100 process chain is designed to convert heterogeneous municipal solid waste into premium, drop-in renewable hydrocarbons through an integrated pathway built on proven unit operations licensed from world-leading technology providers.
MSW Pre-Treatment & Sorting
Incoming waste will be received at enclosed, negative-pressure facilities. Mechanical biological treatment will remove inerts, recover recyclables, and homogenise the organic fraction into refuse-derived fuel for thermochemical conversion.
Stage 1Gasification & Syngas Cleanup
Pre-treated RDF will undergo high-temperature thermochemical conversion producing synthesis gas. Rigorous syngas cleanup trains remove tars, particulates, and trace contaminants to meet downstream hydroprocessing feedstock specifications.
Stage 2Hydroprocessing & Upgrading
Crude renewable feedstock will be hydrotreated and hydroisomerised using Topsoe HydroFlex licensed technology to produce on-spec RD100 renewable diesel meeting EN 15940 and ASTM D975, with product slate flexibility for SAF.
Stage 3Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Dedicated SAF fractionation and blending with continuous quality documentation for airline and airport fuel supplier offtake. Product specification aligned with ASTM D7566 Annex A1 with full sustainability traceability chain.
Product ATank Farm & Product Logistics
Integrated product storage with N6 highway truck loading bays, future pipeline interface points, and export terminal connectivity. 30 to 40 tonne supervised deliveries with weighbridge control and digital manifest tracking.
Product BSCADA & Digital Operations
Live SCADA control room with continuous emissions monitoring, weighbridge integration, and MMDA transparency dashboards designed to show tonnage collected, transfer activity, and conversion outcomes in real time.
Smart OpsFinal Products & Byproducts
Two final products. The plant is designed to deliver RD100 Renewable Diesel, meeting EN 15940 and ASTM D975, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel on the ASTM D7566 pathway with full sustainability traceability.
Byproducts and secondary streams. Biochar from the thermochemical conversion step, renewable naphtha from fractionation, and recovered ferrous and non-ferrous metals from pre-treatment, each with development-stage offtake pathways. All product volumes are design targets pending construction and commissioning.
